What you can expect

The Field and Partner Solutions Engineering Manager - Japan is an exciting and rewarding position. We are looking for a dynamic leader who possesses extensive experience leading pre-sales engineering teams in Software as a Service (SaaS) vendors, with a significant emphasis on Unified Collaboration as a Service (UCaaS) and Contact Centre as a Services (CCaaS)

This Leadership role will be responsible for serving as the business partner to the Head of Japan, as well the Japan Sales and Channel Leadership, and tasked with contributing to strategic planning, headcount growth, coverage models and business strategy.

We need a self-driven leader who can support the Japan Solutions Engineering team in overcoming obstacles and focusing on priorities. This role is based in Tokyo, Japan and reports to the Head of Solutions Engineering - Japan and Asia Pacific based in Australia.

Through strategic partnerships and a customer-centric approach, they play a pivotal role in expanding Zoom's global presence and ensuring businesses harness the full potential of virtual collaboration .

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead Japan Field and Partner Solutions Engineering team

  • Set and execute the technical Japan pre-sales direct and channels / partner strategy

  • Drive the Zoom vision, including in-person presentations at key customer and partner facing events.

  • Build business plans with Japan sales, channel, customer success and marketing cross-functional partners

  • Define and Implement zoom partner technical enablement and demand generation events

  • Coach and mentor both experienced and and early in career (EIC) team members

  • Handle business, technical, personnel and customer escalations

What we’re looking for

  • 8+ years experience in the Unified Collaborations industry

  • 5+ years leading a technical pre-sales direct and channels organization

  • Strong business acumen, presentation skills, and executive presence

  • Understand partner’s business and how Zoom services can enhance their value proposition

  • Industry competitive knowledge including solution, technology and product offerings from Microsoft, RingCentral, 8x8, Nice, Cisco Systems and other vendors

  • Be self-motivated, organised , and a strategic thinker with the ability to break down ambiguous/complex problems and deliver a cohesive recommendation.

  • Typically requires Bachelor of Science (BS) / Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or equivalent

  • 日本の営業、チャネル、カスタマーサクセス、マーケティングのクロスファンクショナルパートナーとのビジネスプランの構築

  • Zoomパートナーのテクニカルイネーブルメントとデマンドジェネレーションイベントの定義と実施

  • 経験豊富なチームメンバーとキャリアが浅い(EIC)チームメンバーのコーチングと指導

  • ビジネス、技術、人事、お客様からのエスカレーションへの対応

求めるスキル/ご経験

  • 8年以上のユニファイドコラボレーション業界での経験

  • 5年以上のプリセールス直販およびチャネル組織の技術リーダー経験

  • 高いビジネス洞察力、プレゼンテーションスキル、エグゼクティブとしての存在感

  • 流暢な日本語と英語でのビジネスができる方(このポジションは東京勤務です)

  • パートナーのビジネスを理解し、Zoomのサービスがどのようにパートナーのバリュープロポジションを強化できるかを理解していること

  • Microsoft、RingCentral、8x8、Nice、Cisco Systems、その他のベンダーが提供するソリューション、テクノロジー、製品などに関する知識

  • 自発的で、組織的かつ戦略的な思考を持ち、曖昧で複雑な問題を分解し、まとまりのある提案を行うスキルとご経験

  • 理学士(BS)/工学学士(BE)または同等の学位
